As the Asia Pacific Sales Manager for iVolve, I meet with a lot of people in the mining industry. Only a few years ago, the industry was booming and assessments of operational efficiency were not a top priority, because it felt like the boom would never end. The boom has ended and things have changed.

What's in it for the future of mining?

This new era has worked out to be a blessing in disguise for iVolve. Since the fall of commodity prices, it has become even more critical for companies to look at smart ways to get more from less.  Recently, we have been reengaged by companies who traditionally would only work with one vendor. This reengagement is in an effort to minimise and simplify, because iVolve offers a very competitive alternative.

Our solution is tailored for small-to-medium sized mines that need a more personalised approach. We’re a partner who cares about every mine, from seven trucks, to 70. Traditionally, as we have found, smaller mine sites and their fleet management needs are often overlooked. However, they feel the pinch as much as larger operations. Many mining companies have had to change business practices to survive, and iVolve has been there to help them along the way.
